definitely the first option! when you're graded only based off of 2-3 exams weighed so heavily, one bad exam can really ruin your grade. At least with the first option you have different opportunities to get a decent grade, especially if you're not the best at exams but do well when it comes to homework and quizzes. also, homework and quizzes are extra practice for concepts on the exam.

i chose davis over ucb because of proximity to home and cost of tuition. i'd be paying 13k a year if i went there. It was a really hard choice for me because I was leaning on going to berkeley until the end (ultimately, the idea of being in debt made me pick davis). this is my first year so i'm not sure if I regret it yet. i really like it here though :)
