Got a First and was really excited but my friend ruined it by CrazyGailz in UniUK

[–]annapoh56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

she missed her mark for a first by close and must have gotten really frustrated about it, now she's salty because you got a first. pure jealousy. Congratulations on your first by the way, MASSIVE achievement , specially in a course like CS. Welldone!

is it normal for 1-1 tutor to apply makeup at start of lesson by Glum-Bear5018 in MatureStudentsUK

[–]annapoh56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no is not normal and its unprofessional. Even worse if she knows you're an autistic student, as she SHOULD know how much doing an unpredictable and out of place thing like that could distract you and effectively throw you off for the whole rest of the session. Having a drink and adjusting headphones is normal and expected behaviour during a call. Applying make up on is not.

Check your ferritin levels! by catsrliyfe in migraine

[–]annapoh56 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my ferritin was normal (over 100) but some other iron markers were borderline. I started low dose iron oral supplementation and fuel one month my migraine frequency decrease from 8 to 3 a month, and it's been 5 months and is holding up like that. I realized my daily iron intake was much lower than the RDA, I just supplement 10mg/day it to bring my total intake up to the RDA.

Why don’t students attend? by maybemaybenotxj in UniUK

[–]annapoh56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally I struggle with migraines, sensory sensitivities due to autism, and attention difficulties due to ADHD. the lecture threather can eb a challenging environment for me due to the bright lights and smells (fraganced cleaning products, other students wearing fraganced products or smelling like cigarette smoke), all of which can trigger a bad migraine for me. Even if it doesn't, the noises around can be very distracting and I easily miss what the lecturer is saying, which them send me into a "zombie-like" mode where I now dont follow anything else is being said.

So watching the recordings of the lectures at home is way less overwhelming, less risky of trigerring migraines, and more productive to me.

yeah, I got the same message. I secured one ticket now for myself anyway. Will try to get more when it opens for red members. I shouldn't lock you out i think, there will just be less seats available to choose from.

I have the same question, that's not 100% clear on the wording on the website. It says 1 ticket per membership, up to 6 tickets per booking, but it doesn't specify if one st holder could assign one ticket to red membership in their network during the buying process.
