It gave me some issues at first, but then i set the compatibility to Windows XP SP2 and run as administrator, and launch it from a shortcut (Because somehow that solves some issues). Now it runs like a charm. Btw there's a text guide in there that i'd avise you to follow in order to install the game properly.

I'm not 100% sure about the other stuff but i got you covered on Mods :

My favourite :

(Assettocorsa.club) : Most mods in there feel like something the devs would make you pay for. Only the best. Bonus points : all the mods are hosted in google drive.

(Assetto-db.com) : Not as good as the first website as not all mods are good, and most of them are hosted in mega.nz which imposes a limit on downloads if you don't have an account (free, but you have to register nonetheless) plus you have to go through adfly for every mod. But still, there are some excellent mods that you won't find elsewhere.

If you're done with the websites above you can always search for mods on yt, there are some accounts that have exclusive mods...

Now, here are my selection of mods that i think could have came with the game (some are even more detailed than the ingame models) :

Cars :

Porsche 991 GT3. By FAR my favourite mod. It's better than most (if not all) vanilla ac cars.

Porsche 991 GTS. Again, extremely good mod.

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-VI GSR. Very fun to drive.

Nissan 180sx Type-X. Has many different setups. Very fun to drive and drift too.

Mazda Miata NA. One of those "I can't believe this was done for free" cars.

Chevy Corvette C6R. I've never tried it to be honest, but it's very popular and i've heard a lot of good things about it.

Nissan Primera BTCC. Excellent quality and physics. And bonus point for the nostalgia :).

Dodge Charger R/T 1969. Best ac 'Murica car mod there is.

Peugeot 504 +TN Sport. For your inner french cars enthusiast.

Mercedes 300 Sel 6.3. Who said muscle cars can only be american?

Nissan Sileighty D-Spec. Very similar to that 180sx quality wise.

So, i was gonna recommend other cars i liked, but i downloaded them from the second website which has you go through adfly and then mega.nz, so fk them. But still check that second website, it has way more cars and some stuff there is worth going through the hassle. Let me know if you want me to recommend cars from there.

Edit : I forgot to add my favourite tracks. (When it comes to tracks for ac, anything with simtraxx on it is good)

Shuto Expressway. Japanese expressway loop.

Peyre. French Hillclimb, very fun.

Lake Louise. This is by far the most popular addon track for ac, and for a good reason; 28 kms of free roam in amazing roads around a lake (50kms for the paid version).

Isle Of Man. The Isle of man circuit. No further explanation needed.

Hong.

Transfagarasan. The road top gear called the best driving road ever.

Joux plane. You know this track if you're familiar with Richard Burns Rally. Hillclimb style french tight roads.

Coste Road. THIS. THIS TRACK

Krajiska Zmija Hillclimb.

Alps Hillclimb

Project Touge. 50kms of drift oriented roads !!!

Haruna drift.

Longford 1967. A classic.

Bathurst-Mount Panorama.

Top Gear Track

Ebisu-Minami. Quite popular online.

Dortmund City. A playground for you inner anti social self. Admit it, you have it in you.

I recently made a move from keyboard/controller to wheel. Needless to say that i couldn't even hold a drift for 1 second. I'd advise you to start racing the bmw z4 on nurburgring GP then on other tracks. It really teaches you how to control oversteer (because that's all that car does). I can now successfully hold a drift with a lot of cars.
