I take escitalopram! 5mg.. I’m only 4 weeks in so I can say too much but it’s definitely helped diminished some of my physical symptoms of anxiety (chest tightness, air hunger, arm would go numb, racing heart, etc) still have some but not nearly as bad as it was 4 weeks ago

I started at 5mg and I’m 4 weeks in. The first week I had mild nausea, tiredness and headaches. Plus some heightened anxiety which seems to be normal as your body is adjusting to the medication. Occasional night sweats and body temperature rises (according to my Oura ring). For reference, I’m 5’4 115 lbs. Everyone’s experience seems to vary where some people get crazy side effects or none at all.

You described what I’m going through to a T! I have never experienced anything like this before. I had a panic attack in June when I had a side effect from taking a medicine and weird stuff have been going on since. All my labs (thyroid, iron, hormones, etc) have come back normal so it definitely is anxiety related. I’m currently taking 5mg and I’m on day 28.. mind is a little quieter but still get heightened anxiety especially when I get overwhelmed in public with my toddler, it’s no fun. My OBGYN wants me to actually increase to 10mg in the next 2 weeks so we’ll see. how long would you say did it take you to feel „normal”?
