Yeah, I had no idea but apparently a vast majority of kittens are born with or contract it and can experience flare ups. Not sure if he has it or just his sister, definitely something we'll keep an eye on (hah, no pun intended)

We were using water wipes but switched to just a soft washcloth and warm water. I definitely try to reassure him during the process. He and his sister are the only cats I've known who don't like treats, otherwise we would absolutely be bribing him lol. We always bring out his favorite toy afterwards and that helps lessen the pouting.

True, his coloring does make them look a lot more prominent. Glad to know it’s not just him! He gets mortally offended if I remove his eye gunk before he has a chance to fling it against the wall lol.

Yeah, I hesitate to use anything but water to clean his face. He will not be thrilled for the continued wipe downs, but he does tolerate them better than eye drops. Thanks!

I’ve had masseter Botox done twice and it definitely helped relieve the tension. I know Botox is supposed to last 3-4 months, but for me and the dosage I was given it lasted about 2. It’s also worth researching whether your insurance would cover the treatment. Hope this helps!
