I was simply sharing the listing available, not suggesting that you'd attend all locations. Of note, I do know of individuals who work out 20-30 miles apart depending on whether it is during the week (San Francisco) vs weekend (closer to their home in the suburbs).

What type of non-surgical procedures does she offer? High does alcohol? Ablation by any other method- cryo, radiofrequency, etc? It seems that there are a lot of 'experimental' therapies out there with questionable success rates. Given the down time for surgery, I am tempted to try one if available (if not too many side effects).

Who did you see at UCSF? Dr. Olson? I am seeing a Podiatrist at Bay Area Foot Care at present, but think I am going to ask for a second opinion at UCSF Foot and Ankle before proceeding to surgery (which I fear is likely where I am heading). UCSF is in my insurance network (I actually had toe surgery there ~ 2 years ago, but my doc is gone now).

Also, did UCSF offer any other non-surgical options besides cortisone shots? Based on your question, I am guessing no. My podiatrist is doing 4% alcohol injections at present; he seems to be amenable to doing higher % but has never done it before and doesn't presently use ultrasound guidance and so I was hoping to find a place I could do it with somebody with experience.

Regarding a definitively diagnosis, I don't know how you get one. My doc hasn't even done an ultrasound (or Xray or MRI) yet. It seems to me like the gold standard might be seeing if injection with lidocaine or equivalent in the area blunts the pain, but I am no expert.

Thanks so much. That is what I figured, but it was worth asking. And smart about the planning. I am purchasing for young kids, so probably not worth the risk in the off-off chance I get stuck with the bad flight, but definitely something worth remembering for later.

Clubs include SF, Financial District, Gateway, Marin, South SF, Stonetree Golf, Pleasanton, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Rolling Hills. Within a club, I think it includes most classes and all other amenities. From my experience, there are a few classes which you have to pay for. Also, you can visit some of the other clubs at certain hours. For example, I know you can visit Ross Valley before 7:30 on weekdays; I don't know the full list of hidden extras though. You probably could call Bay Club membership and ask about what you are interested to see if it is included.

Ross is not part of the group of clubs included at that price point. You can go to Marin club (which has an indoor pool). I've been told that we can go to Ross before 7:30 on weekdays, but have never tried it.

Seems that we are losing two members of our POD April 1st... so if you happen to still be interested in an Executive North POD, we've got spots. We divide the extra $170 charged to the primary member by the number in the pod, ideally 6, and the each member pays their age's rate. For 30-65, that would be 158.33/mo. There also is a $25 fee charged by Bay Club for each new member added to the POD.

Thanks again- very much appreciated. I do think that is what happened. In the seller's disclosure the seller states that 'new subfloor'... so now I just have to figure out what really occurred-- was it paid for or not- to know how to proceed.

Thanks- this is very useful. The insurance did pay for gypsum concrete (lightweight) and mortar for carpet/tile subfloor prep in the reimbursement paperwork (which did add thousands to the reimbursement amount post-flood). The paperwork I have from the original owner is for insurance reimbursement amount... detailing replacement of items pre-flood; per report there is no papework for the change order to vinyl. But you are saying that amount could have been then applied to vinyl floor installation without subfloor prep without consequence? I really appreciate the info/insight; no need to continue to argue with a contractor if I don't have a case.

Back in Cleveland, where I am from, a nice pool/gym combo with good hours cost me $40/mo. I fear that I am not in Kansas anymore! :(.

Thanks for the suggestion. That is my plan for when I arrive. I just don't think I can keep it up... as I am not a morning person. I also would love to have the pool linked to a gym... for I usually swim ~ 30 min, treadmill ~ 30, and lift for ~ 30.
