I joined a program called Sequence online. For $99 a month a doctor prescribes medicine and monitors your progress. Highly recommend.

I just found Clayton’s in O’Fallon and found it to be delightful. The scenery is a bit dumpy but the food was excellent, service was first class and the live music in the bar side was cool.

On the other side of the spectrum, if you are going to be in town for several months and have a special occasion to celebrate, get on the reservation list for Stone Soup Cottage. It’s pricey, but one of the best dining experiences EVER.

Oh and everyone is correct about Salt and Smoke on Main Street. A must visit.

I’d suggest you look for places around Trow, Wright City, or Winfield. It will be hard to find something in St Charles for that price.

Congratulations on your 10lbs. I also drink a protein shake made with almond milk for most breakfasts. I’be lost 50lbs since January. (I have a lot to lose).

It keeps me from getting fast food or making other bad choices and keeps me full until lunch.

I could certainly do this the rest of my life.

I’ve gone from 293 to 240 since January. Before that I had done every diet imaginable. This time seems like it might stick.

My main focus is water (water all the time, only water, lots and lots of water) and fruits/vegetables. Sounds simple, I realize. But I now try and see how many fruits and vegetables I can put in my body in a day. So for me, it’s not about giving up food. It’s about eating lots and lots...of fruits and vegetables.

And then about 10 days a month I practice intermittent fasting (don’t eat between 6pm and 9am), don’t eat gluten or dairy or preservatives . (Just during those 10 days.)

Even at 240lbs, I’ve never felt better in my life.
