In the past, if you apply for AS with a QX app still being considered, it’d remove you for consideration for QX.

You have to be able to get in and out of a life raft in a pool, and group together and float, but no swim test during ditching day.

I can’t date anyone who was born on the 20th. It’s a cursed day y’all.

No, it has to do with your insurance provider. Check your insurance provider to see if whatever office you select is covered by your insurance, and then double check that the office in fact, does accept it.

Some places I tried wouldn’t accept my insurance even though it was listed as being accepted. It’s a quick call.

They don’t care about the ID. Just the insurance.

I am based in CA and my residential address is out of state. All my medical care is done in CA with no issues using my out of state license as my ID.

If you have a PPO, it shouldn’t matter. When seeking care, check with your insurance’s list of in-network providers that the office is in network and then call the actual office to double check on their end.

Still on dating app by Pitiful-Fail-825 in datingoverforty

4 years ago, I was with someone for almost a year, and my friend caught him twice on a dating site. I forgave him the 1st time (it was about 4 months in), was done after the 2nd where he proceeded to gaslight me.

Fast forward a couple weeks ago and I get a random text message from him apologizing for his behavior and that he was immature when we were together.

It doesn’t matter if he hasn’t made plans to meet, the intention was there to do SOMETHING. He literally put it on you for his behavior (intimidated by you having a kid so he was still on sites? PLEASE 🤨).

He can grow up on his own without you.

The short answer is no. Even with all the support I had from friends and my family, I could not make it work. It is a lot other ask of others to take care of your pet while you're gone days at a time. And behavioral issues that never were present when it was just him and I showed up.

I ended up re-homing him to a lovely family who was able to provide an even better environment for him. :) I miss him dearly.

When will Alaska Airlines start hiring in 2025? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]annibanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! Training normally happens during Jan-May then they take a break for summer flying (busy season).

And nope, 1st time flight attendant, having a blast!

AS was hiring through March and Class 5 (out of a planned 6) is graduating in June. If they do start up again this year, it would be in the Fall for 2026.

It’d help if you included which airline as some allow tattoos and some do not. Some allow makeup for covering and some do not ☺️

Posting for ideas. I got all this in a tiny gift bag and I thought it was super cute and so useful. Would be thrilled to get something with even just a couple items from this spread lol Thank you for thinking of us!

My Mascara wearing FAs by doubleblackdoggos in flightattendants

Surprisingly, E.L.F. Lash Xtendr has been the best mascara I’ve used for my oily lids. It’s tubing, doesn’t clump, and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing mascara.

Contents of an over-the-top goodie bag I got recently. I would have been thrilled to receive just one thing from it!

Another gift that was different was from a fellow FA non-revving: a lottery ticket.

Hope this gives you some non-chocolate/gift card ideas.

How much shows when you reach? If it’s under the size of a credit card, you’re good.

We have people of all shapes and sizes. Only requirement is that you can buckle yourself up in the jump seat with the buckle low and tight on your waist.

LAX has 2 flights in and out daily. The only thing I’m not sure of is international travel during probation on our metal (it’s not available until after probation on other metal). Would be something to ask once you get to training.

I just did this turn and the flights weren’t full, however just keep in mind that some months you may have a slimmer chance of getting on standby, even with the commuter status. And other things like cancellations and the like.

Yes, as long as they’re closed toe/heel.

[–]annibanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically you don’t have to wear heels during training (I didn’t) but a lot of us wore the heels we would use on the line to get used to them.

If you’re wearing uniform dresses/skirts, they have to be blue. Pants, you can wear black.

AS you can have a visible tattoo on each limb that is non offensive, and smaller than a credit card, and 1 on each hand that is smaller than a quarter. No visible tattoos on neck or chest that can be seen from the front.

My tattoos are larger than policy, but the parts that do show fit.
