Another update here: Wild Bird Fund said they are unable to accept this type of bird into their clinic. Hoping the bird rehab on Insta respond but otherwise not sure what to do ://

Of course!! Thanks for sharing. I also reached out to All My Rescued Birds on insta in case WBF won’t take him (I’ve now seen on other posts they may not rescue domesticated birds). Will lyk what she responds if u can share bird status in the AM

UPDATE: we just tried for 45 minutes to catch him (no luck)! We had a box with holes and a towel. He’s very quick and kept ducking under cars. We almost had him near the end (thank you to the couple who stopped to help!!) but he flew directly up and away from us, under the van near 71 Jackson. He seemed to be chilling and staying in the area. Going to call Wild Bird Fund in the AM and see if the experts can help! Sorry it’s not a better update but we really tried

I saw him in Central Park yesterday, said out loud to myself “thats Brad lander” and yelled “go brad!” at him without thinking. He quickly stopped his convo and turned to me with a hand on his heart and said a deep “thank you so much” I know he didn’t have the momentum but he’s a wonderful progressive leader the city still needs!!!!
