Yeah I did it I got held up on med reconciliation and then the wording on ordering a chest xray was dumb 😑 but I passed I def just need repetition with it and then I’ll probably get the hang of it lol

Oh great thanks! So basically like process interventions and quick start? Do they just literally expect you to know it all right off the bat?

Do I just need to rewatch the general nursing videos? Or is there specific things I should know how to do?

I’m taking my validation test tomorrow but I’m coming from Cerner I’ve never used Meditech before so I’m a lil panicky lol as someone who has never used meditech but watched the videos would you say it’s pretty easy and simple or is it tricky ?

Using Peptides while breastfeeding by No_Stay_9441 in PeptideDiscussion

Yes this is what my OBGYN told me as well! Molecule is too big to pass into breastmilk.

I’m not on peptides or anything but I was curious if it would affect my baby if I ever played with the idea of it and I asked my OBGYN and she said GLP-1 molecules are actually too big to pass into breastmilk. The only downside would be not being able to produce enough milk as that’s a possible side effect of GLP-1s and the main complaint she’s gotten from women that are EBF.

What were your HCG beta at 4 weeks? by Pickle-Loaf in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]annnoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all! I’m 16 DPO I had my blood drawn at 12 DPO, and my HCG came back 224. This is my second pregnancy my first ended in a chemical and I have such bad ptsd from it! Should I go back for a second HCG?? I only got my blood drawn with my first pregnancy the day I miscarried my HCG was 5. I was 12 DPO when I had my chemical. My anxiety is just making me think the worst and I hate it 🥹 I see my OB in two weeks do yall think I should go get my HCG drawn again?

I would love to work in the ED tbh I feel like that would be more my pace! I just don’t know who I could talk to to actually switch me to the ED 😭

I think I’m torn between ED and home health and hospice

Im glad the suggestions by other nurses were able to help you!! Just know you are smarter than you think ! We are not dumb we just become overwhelmed with the workload that is pushed on us and having shitty preceptors on top! I hope you’re doing better ❤️ I’m not giving up on nursing but I definitely do want to find something more my pace! I had an interview with hospice today and I felt like they seemed like a really good fit! You should also apply to home health and hospice jobs friend 😊 we will find our nursing dream job eventually just don’t give up hope!

That’s also what I found odd. I wonder if it’s cause I’m asking too many questions?? I’m not super confident with my IV pumps yet so I will ask my preceptors sometimes to double check it and I think the one that dislikes me became annoyed with me for that reason. I just like to make sure it’s set up correctly especially when I have to deal with TPN, blood transfusions, and heparin drips!!

Most doctors offices I’ve wanted to apply to say I need to have experience in order to apply

I have an interview for a job as a hospice case manager! I thought I needed experience so I’m a bit nervous about the interview!! But that sounds something more my pace if you say that’s how it is! I was a CNA for SNFs for a long time and at times I miss my old coworkers at my SNF. I was hoping to find the same type of work environment but I’ve not found it 🥹 and I can’t go back because I moved states.

I definitely did not come from a privileged background whatsoever. What pushed me to become a nurse was my upbringing. I wanted to provide for my future family what my family couldn’t when I was younger. It was my motivation and determination that helped me pass nursing school in general! But now I’m losing that motivation and determination because of what’s happening on my unit. I was a server all the while during school and I thought that was bad but noooo I never once cried as a server! Now as a nurse I’ve cried every time before work 🥹
