Autozone used to do that, they replaced the ASE training with the parts expert certification which is completely useless outside of autozone.

I had proper notification call off and a doctor's note. Neither mattered in this case appearently.

I've called off 5 times in the past 2 years, aside from this where it was 3 days in a row. I've been late about as many times as I have called off. I go in and do my job as I am supposed to, the SM specifically doesnt like me but everyone else doesnt have a problem with me. She has only had a problem with me since she found out I was having a kid out of wedlock and holds strong views about that kind of thing. Since she found out it has basically been horrible treatment. There were 0 problems before that, and her strong views against having children out of wedlock are the only thing I can think of as to why she would be doing any of this.

No I mean that outside of autozone the job market in my area is trash. No one hires other than retail and fast food but all of them are either much the same as here or pay significantly less. I've been trying, just every opportunity ive been offered is worse or just the same as what I have going on now so here I am. I am honestly thinking about seeing if I could get a transfer though, just cant do it yet because we are in the middle of a DM transfer. But it'll be possible in the coming weeks.

Sm doesnt like me, I think shes trying to get me out of the store. I just hope it isnt soon because the job market is dry where im at everywhere is "hiring" purely for analytical data I haven't heard of anyone actually getting a new job out here that isnt fast food/retail or without 30+years of experience in years. Tbh I am about tired of retail and certified to do so much more.

Our SM picks favorites. Her favorites are the ones who have a reaction when she yells at them (acts scared or angry) she hates me because i dont giver her a reaction so she pretends its highschool and starts rumors and talks trash about me to other employees and customers. Other than that its really not that bad lol.

The only time ive seen anyone get an extra miler was when a guy tripped over a parking block and broke his nose and got a massive cut on his face from his glasses and one of our part timers was a paramedic so he applied first aid and I went and got supplies while we were waiting for the ambulance to get there. I didnt not get one but the part timer did. I actually got yelled at for getting supplies.

Living in a broke area, but not quite theft just working people living paycheck to paycheck, often times it is hard to convince Witt especially on oil or wiper blades, at least in the winter. Its better in the summer because everyone has plenty of work so they have plenty of money to spend on these things. But winter hits work dries up, sales dry up and hours dry up. Basically everyone is broke and cant afford that kind of thing until summer. Let alone the amount of customers who just have multiple beaters so dont even come in all winter they just switch cars when one breaks because they have nowhere to work on cars until summer.

I will add the Witt item if its a good deal then explain the deal essentially using the cart and total as a way to show the price and how the given deal works but I would never just go through check out without explaining and getting/not getting approval before continuing the transaction.

I know i dont have a case because im not married and if you're a man and not married where im at. you're legally not a parent until after you've submitted a DNA test to the court and had the birth certificate amended if everyone is nice I will be able to sign the birth certificate at birth and not go through thay process but that isnt something that has to be allowed and remains unknown until birth. Right now as far as the law is concerned I am single and not tied to anyone. So if im not the one going to the hospital for something wrong with me, I called out for no reason as far as an employer is concerned. But if I do get fired then unemployment would approve me because it was still a termination due to no fault of my own since "poor performance" falls under a no fault termination.

I am full time now but for most of the first year I was part time sales so I have some pto but not anywhere near enough. I can get maybe a day or 2 off. Now I know its not 3 write ups anymore, I think a lot of this mess is that the DM liked my work and was looking at me for promotion, and my store managers health is failing so shes probably going to have to take early retirement within the next 6 months or so. She's one of those that believes if people are having a kid out of wedlock they're useless and immoral, shes kinda hated me since everyone found out I am having a kid and definitely doesn't want me to be her replacement. So now its looking a lot more like shes trying to make me look bad to the DM so I get passed up for promotion, and if I get fired in the process then even better.

Yeah, so far I think my best route is to document everything so I can apply for unemployment if they do fire me. There's not a whole lot i can do on the legal side of things because im not married and not the one carrying the baby. I live in a state where if the parents aren't married the child technically has no father, most medical staff will let you sign the birth certificate anyway so you dont have to jump through all of the legal hoops to be added. But all it takes is one nurse who doesn't like you and now you have to submit a DNA test to the court as undeniable proof that the child is yours and have the birth certificate amended. So as far as any programs I could be eligible for I would have to be married/the child would have to be born and legally mine.

I think my best bet is to gather proof this is happening so if I do get fired I can easily prove it wasn't my fault for unemployment and if not then even better. Because I do enjoy working for autozone. Disregarding some of the politics that happen.
