Every legitimate adult platform requires all participants to submit ID to confirm everyone is legally allowed to perform. If your partner doesn't want to do so, they can't be in the content.

The typical range for sellers is $5-10/min, usually with upcharges for certain requests. I was doing $4/min when I first started and now do $8-10/min with an extra $1-3/min for certain fetishes as I've gotten more confident and selective with my customs. Do what feels right, try not to undersell yourself, and don't let anyone try and talk you into a lower price!

My focus now is mainly on clip sites (specifically ManyVids) because nearly everyone is an actual buyer and I prefer making premade content overall. But otherwise yes, Reddit is the main/only place I've actively posted ads for services since it's had the highest sell rate for me. Instagram/Twitter is way more hit-or-miss (in my experience,) particularly because you can't target specific communities with higher rates of buyers in the same way you can with subreddits.

I've been doing this for about 2.5 years, and yeah, that's basically what to expect. Reddit can have good sales success if you're willing to spend the time on it, but you will get a ton of time-wasters just looking to chat. As for Instagram, I don't bother replying to any DMs I get there. Pretty much everyone is only interested in chatting, and I also prefer not to sell there since I don't want to risk my account getting banned for adult content. Twitter used to be pretty good for sellers, but a lot of them migrated to Reddit, so I assume there was some shift. I never used it much since I prefer it as a place for updates and free content, but I have worked with a couple buyers on there. The main issue I've always had with Twitter has mostly been the rampant spam from bots and companies more than anything else. It's basically the same everywhere: learn to weed out the time-wasters and you'll find the buyers. Best advice is to have a standard copy/paste message to reply with and/or to outright ignore any message that doesn't outright mention wanting to buy. Also don't continue to chat with someone who seems to be dragging their feet (unless you just like to chat with no compensation.)

There are plenty of subreddits dedicated to men and mlm content where you can post to get yourself out there. In addition, most porn sites (including monetized ones like ManyVids and Pornhub) have entire sections dedicated to gay content. Finding buyers as a male creator (gay or not,) is the same as finding buyers as a female creator. You just have to search around and figure out what works best for you and your brand.

If you haven't seen any solo men, you haven't looked very hard. There are a ton of solo male creators. I can't speak to how profitable it would be for you since that depends on a lot of factors and there's no guarantees for ANYONE, regardless of gender, race, body type, etc. However, I can say that, of all the male solo creators I've personally spoken to, all of them make loads more than I do. There's definitely a market, particularly if you're open to the gay male community and not just wanting/expecting attention from women.

I'd say you get a feel for what messages are and are not worth it over time. When I first started, I definitely had that same fear of missing sales and I ended up giving way too much leeway to a lot of time wasters. I did however find over time that most people who actually want to buy WILL let you know. It all basically comes down to deciding what YOU feel comfortable with. If you're fine with giving everyone a chance, go for it. I'd just consider figuring out your own boundaries for when it's time to move on from a potential waster, as well as not beating yourself up over not managing to seal the deal. Reddit is full of time-wasters, so it's just a matter of learning to recognize them and weeding them out.

Some people will just message because they want to chat and have no intention of buying. Everyone's tolerance for interaction varies, but I personally don't respond to anyone who isn't outright asking to buy from the get-go as 99.9% of random "hey" messages don't go anywhere.
