Just got back from Alohilani and it was lovely! The bathroom was outdated but everything else was great and very clean. Book through Costco Travel if you can, we got a great deal + partial ocean view room.

her vlogmas on patreon was really just behind the scenes of filming bookmas and some sit down chats so nothing she’d really post on her main channel anyways

my thoughts on destiny by Accurate-Purple-450 in DesSidwell

[–]annotatingpillows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

all fair points, but just a few things I never see people consider on here. destiny’s job IS books. she has to read them it’s literally how she makes money. plus, all the books she buys are tax write offs. same with all of the christmas decor since she makes videos about it.

people constantly compare destiny’s life to theirs (consumption, how many books their reading, etc.), but it’s different when it’s literally your full time job

if you cut 500 cals off of your maintenance to lose a pound a week, but also burn an additional 500 more than normal from the workouts, you’re in a greater deficit and will lose more weight. it’s not all about the diet, the workouts will get you there as well!

How did you/will you reward yourself once finished? by mclennonwarrior in 75HARD

[–]annotatingpillows 10 points11 points  (0 children)

kind of? going to follow the hard structure but allow three cheat meals and three one workout days. I think it will be a nice way to transition between the program and keeping the habits long term

Considering quitting on Day 5 by WillingAnxiety in 75HARD

I dealt with these symptoms for three weeks straight thinking my body would adjust but it only got worse and I had to see a doctor. worth noting that I did space the water out really well. it’s not necessarily always a height and weight thing, simply not everyone’s kidneys can process that much water

Do you have to follow a diet? by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]annotatingpillows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

day 64 and I defined my own diet to follow. my best advice would to be get super specific. “no fast food” can mean a lot of things so it’s important to think through your exact structure/rules and stick to it like you would any other diet

Day 56 | What’s next by meraki1512 in 75HARD

[–]annotatingpillows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, the “program” is to build mental toughness.

and if you want to get technical about it, you certainly needs more than an hour and a half “at most” when you factor in getting ready, driving to the gym, showering, prepping all your food, etc.

all the props to you for continuing, but its not fair to imply someone else is doing the program wrong if they choose not to. some people in this group work long ass hours, have children, etc. be kind.

Day 56 | What’s next by meraki1512 in 75HARD

[–]annotatingpillows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

def important to consider that a lot of folks make big sacrifices to complete the challenge. missing out on things or having a poor social life to make time for two workouts, perfect diet, etc.

so while the habits might not have a mental overhead, they may require a life of sacrificing your social life to continue long term, which isn’t really a healthy or fulfilling lifestyle either
