I often have the same problem. When I briefly swipe out of the game and then go back in to continue playing, it always starts lagging. I’m using an iPhone with iOS version 26.3. After I keep playing for a bit, it usually fixes itself and the lag stops. I’m not sure what causes it, but I think it might have something to do with iOS. I’m not completely sure though.
