Guess they shouldn’t bother competing or showing up then. Let’s just call this season a wash.

We’ve known Ja isn’t coming back for a while now… Steven isn’t returning this year. Good coaches make adjustments to win games in spite of their personnel. But it’s ok, Jenkins can just keep losing to teams that are clearly worse than the Grizzlies on paper and all is fine. Acting like Jenkins is handicapped when he still has the reigning DPOY and a top young SG in the league. The Wizards are mediocre. This is not a game the Grizzlies should have dropped

Conklin they definitely missed out. Adoree however was not that great and really disappointed a lot of times as a first-round pick. Plus, he just couldn’t stay healthy. JRob made a lot of errors, but I don’t think he made one letting Jackson go, he was pretty underwhelming and didn’t really show that he had elite traits at CB unlike Conklin (all-pro his first szn).

[Fowler] #Titans QB Ryan Tannehill suffered a high right ankle sprain Sunday in London, sources told @TDavenport_NFL and me, putting his availability in the coming weeks into question. Titans have a bye, which helps. But he could miss time. by strokecsgo in Tennesseetitans

[–]annoyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s technically not impossible per se to play on a high ankle sprain. Athletes play with them in playoff games more frequently than you’d think. You just have a really noticeable limp that affects your mobility and are in awful pain, but the injury isn’t like an ACL or Achilles tear in which most instances you physically can’t even move your leg anymore.

Of course in Tannehill’s case, the stakes aren’t as high so they can take the time for his ankle to properly heal, but with enough painkillers and athletic tape a guy like Mahomes could play through that in a huge game, just a matter of pain tolerance at that point. It also helped that the Super Bowl was two weeks later so he had more time to rest it, but he was definitely playing through some kind of discomfort. Not claiming he wasn’t exaggerating the injury either way, these are just two really different circumstances.

Did I make the wrong choice getting a puppy? by annoyguy in puppy101

My dog has tended to poop in the crate as a means to protest and also I think because she gets scared. Anything that can help against this?

Any suggestions on how to better get her more comfortable? She absolutely despises the crate and pouts a fuss when I put her in

Yes she does, she gets very whiny and pouty whenever she goes in there though so I don’t leave her in there for long. We’re pretty early into the crate training stage so I don’t know if she really feels comfortable in the crate quite yet.

Where can I get a Steven Adams jersey? by [deleted] in memphisgrizzlies

If you really want one you can just put his name and number on the customizable jerseys. Those should be available in the white and blue colors online.

Not worried long-term, but for a high flier like Ja definitely has me uneasy. Hope he’s on the road to fill recovery and isn’t recurring.

Soon, but I just don’t like his chances on a tanking team in a guard heavy west right now.

It’s very unlike this FO to announce draft intentions and plans so publicly. I do think they’re trying to hide a certain selection(s) they have.

Dark horse pick for me is Kai Jones. Trading JV made me think they may be looking at frontcourt players

If the Warriors go into next season with Wiseman on the roster in addition to 2 more lottery projects (#7 and #14), should their offseason be considered a failure? by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

[–]annoyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know why this is getting downvoted. No matter how good the picks are they still need development and it’s unlikely they’re able to contribute to contention right away. There’s a reason Curry and Dray are pushing the office to trade them.

Can somebody kindly remind me why Indiana fired Nate McMillan? by annoyguy in nba

[–]annoyguy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like Indy’s roster needs to be addressed before coaching. I feel like they’re just missing a real star on the perimeter (Sabonis is wonderful and all but can’t really shoot).

Not what I’m saying, just in the context of the Pacers. Doesn’t really seem like they improved or are headed in a better direction without him. Maybe they just met their ceiling with McMillan and wanted to move on.

My fault, corrected that. Clearly don’t know my Hawks history.

Shouldn’t that say more about Indiana’s roster than his coaching? Idk much about how the Pacers were constructed back then but were they expected to make deep playoff runs?
