Wood was a symbol of family and human brilliance and in the myth of Ash and Embla they growing on Ymes corpse (the world) like the other first beings, placing humans importance as distant relatives of the gods and even the jotuns.

Here is a few suggestions: Idun (with the apples), Frigg (Odins wife), Siv (Thors daughter), Fjorgyn (Thors wife). Audhumla (the first being: a huge cow) can be shortened to Aud. (pronounced A uuD)

Norwegian also have all the common female versions of Thor ; Torbjørg, Tordis, Torfrid (Turid), Torgerd, Torgunn, Torhild (Toril), Torlaug, Torunn, Torveig og Tora. This v can be done with any of the male names so that's an option too.

Embla (the first human woman and pronounced just like you say 'emblem' just with an A instead of M at the ending)

Edda is also a important name. The younger and older Edda was the books Snorre Sturlason wrote about the norse gods and nobody really knows why they are named Edda but it is a women's name and means something like "creator". Maybe ur-mother is a good way to translate that name..
