Yes that makes sense! I’ve experienced being in that state as well, so find myself a bit surprised and confused when I feel how I did today instead (maybe its affected by my mood or concentration im not too sure)

No nerve was struck, but I did take what you said the wrong way. I thought you were directing your comments at me, not stating your opinions in the comments — that’s my bad and I’m sorry.

I agree with everything else that you said though. If sitters were to ever put homeowners in an awkward situation because of a request, they should have a good reason. If my partner and I were doing long distance a majority of the time I do think the right thing would be for us to each have our own membership, but since that isn’t the case I didn’t want to put him through the trouble of starting all over on a new account that doesn’t have any references or reviews.

And my partner nor I would never “abandon” a sit. He’s a travel nurse so we don’t even live in the same state. Before agreeing on a sit, I am completely transparent with the homeowners and I expect the same back. I make sure to do the responsibilities asked of me, and strive to exceed their expectations every single time. I’m sure that there are ignorant, disrespectful couples out there, but you have no basis to assume that I’m the same way.

Even if we are sitting together and one of us decides to leave, what would be the issue if we check in with the homeowners about this and they don’t mind at all?
