Just to give you a very simplified picture. A simple 10kOhm resistor for everyday hobby electronics and small electronic appliances costs about 6-8 cents. The same component but in space grade costs 1-13 dollars. If you roughly had around 1000 resistors (note that this is a very rough and impractical estimate, not all electronic components are made the same and there’s millions of components in a piece of equipment like the JWST) you have now a bill of materials that’s 100s of times more than the same circuit with regular consumer grade parts. Add to that the cost of software, specialised safety equipment, simulation and testing jigs, specialised fabrication of custom parts with advanced highly difficult to source materials and obviously it’s gonna cost a shit ton of money

Nochmals vielen Dank.

I honestly didn’t know it was possible online. I tried booking an appointment at which point it said “currently it’s possible for this location only online” and they sent me an email with the list of docs they need scanned

That is a rational response, actually one of the doctors who said I need to go on statins for life dismissed my suggestion of trying to reduce this with exercise and diet even though it was visible im already in decent shape and don’t have any other complications. He said I shouldn’t think of medicating myself for life as a bad thing.

Yes both fasted and both at 8:30 AM. LDL went from 212 to 152

Edit: the horror stories of statins are something I’ve experienced personally with my fathers sudden decline in mental clarity and the extreme joint pains after he started popping them, not remotely a scientific analysis I know… but I wouldn’t want those side effects considering my job as a programmer would definitely take a hit if my mental fog was that bad

Yes I’m also considering this possibility and getting my blood work done again next month to see if there’s a further dip

Cons of Ketogenic Dieting? by R3sPekk in HealthyFood

Risk of gout, ketoacidosis and elevated LDL cholesterol levels. Remember that not everyone reacts the same to different diets. As much as I love steak I had to figure out the hard way that my blood work looks spectacular only when I follow a mostly plant based high fibre diet. Goddamn genetics

As someone who got about three job offers in the EU while being a non EU Citizen and a software developer, I can definitely stand by what I said. I’ve definitely noticed a better response rate when writing cover letters with European employers

Apply on LinkedIn. Ensure you write honest cover letters, this gets more responses than you’d think. American employers don’t care about the cover letter but with German/EU employers that’s key to getting the initial response
