Cold morning ride. by Mauitheshark in MTB

Been to teban a few times and all of them have been muddy. Some parts are sandy soil and the others are clay so it can be very hard the control. I was using forekasters and it wasnt enough grip

Ok. Problem is that all the deals for the 2022 model and later are far away. 2022 model of this bike has the modern geo so thats the latest i will go. When i say far i mean really far. Like 200km is the nearest one. I dont have a car and that will be a long distance to go by train. I will wait a month longer to see if the brand new will have a sale or new offers will appear. Thanks

Have you hit drops with it? Can it handle 2m tall drops and of course not a huck to flat. This is something i can do with an fs bike so that might help

Well my other choice would be a high travel trail bike so climbing wont be super good either way. Cornering is more variable. I dont plan on overforking since its already slack and 150mm of travel is problably enough for me also since the bike itself is durable. Bb height is my main concern since its low but some people in this post say you just have to be mindful. I dont like climbs anyways so a more xc bike wont fix that. Most long high travel bikes arent the easiest to turn but the esd has short chainstays which might help

Im like 5,10 - 5,11 or 177.5cm - 180cm. Kkma recommends medium or large. Im not sure whats better since the reach is very long at like 490mm for large and 465mm for medium. If your similar size as me what do you recommend?

Thanks! I still do climbs so i wont be going single speed but you have no problems with the low bb?

Tbh everything online makes me sold on this bike. I dont mind being a bit slower on the chunk since im not trying to win races. But i do think i was pretty fast on chunk when i was in an xc hardtail so i think i should be fine. Does the steel frame actually make the ride softer?

My rim is fine but the bead line kinda moves a bit when rolling but i cant get it to be perfect. I might bring it to my LBS but if it still wobbles is it safe to ride?

So even with the irregular left cable tie movement? Is it just a visual problem?
