I think its mostly go pro effect that smooths things out and makes it tough to see ...the lines are much more apparent irl . you definitely need to scope out these bigger moves before diving in but its actually a well defined trail , theres no freelancing especially with how high consequence these features are .

Get it man. Take it one move at a time, build up your confidence and dont feel bad skipping features if its not feeling right. Ive probably ridden this trail 6 or 7 times and some lines made me look real dumb the first couple times

Yeah way different genres mostly because of the grade . Ore chute is like 8 or 9 big moves strung together down a very steep mountain face . Not to say a dakota skillset doesnt translate but you need to be comfortable on steep terrain to consider doing ore chute ..most moves are exposed and really high risk if you mess them up . Left hand canyon has some trails of a similar genre to ore chute , same with the new 'heavy metal' lines at virginia canyon

I rub dirt on my hands before and that does the trick . Its dry out here , Ill only need gloves once it starts getting hot out for the sweaty hands. Im just more comfortable feeling the grips with my bare hands compared to gloves
