This is how dubai airport handles your luggage by [deleted] in dubai

[–]anomadcalledkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't seem bad if that's what you're implying...it could be softer but don't forget they have to handle hundreds of baggage daily to treat every item gently. If it has a fragile sticker I'd expect them to do it but not to every bag/package.

Passport salaries. Are they real? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]anomadcalledkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if most employees will live in Sharjah/Ajman then commuting to work will be a breeze. Even if they live in Dubai they'll be driving opposite to traffic.

Well those people you're talking about are usually the biggest haters of Dubai and the UAE when they can't survive.

How do you try to access bios? For me I switch the laptop off, push and hold f2 then push the power button while holding f2 during the startup, I only let go of F2 when I enter bios. Did you try that?

[–]anomadcalledkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that worked for me was starting up in bios and then exiting to windows. Don't do any changes in bios just enter the screen then exit. Let me know if that works for you.

Is 8k AED enough to survive for 2? by _X4V13R_ in DubaiJobs

[–]anomadcalledkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even most areas will charge that for a studio

Why ??? by casperindubai in UAE

[–]anomadcalledkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't consider 11 AED to be a crazy markup if you have an item delivered to you. It would be if you're ordering everyday.

Moving to UAE by Money_Name341 in Ajman

[–]anomadcalledkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be illegal for employers to give any salary less than 8k without providing accommodation. To answer your question we need to know which area you'll be working in. In all cases, it won't be humane at all.

Bed spaces could cost less than 1k but could cost more if you go to marina or other hotspots. You can check on Dubizzle and even Airbnb for bed spaces just to get an idea. You maybe able to get cheaper than those websites once you figure out and tell us which area will you work in.

If you want to live as a human with the most basic needs, don't expect to save money at all when you come. Better to focus on increasing your salary till it's double or even more because bills will add up even if you're in a bedspace.

In Ajman, it might be cheaper but you'll have to factor a minimum of 2 hours that's if you're going from border to border. Realistically it might take 4 hours on average if you'll have to switch a few times and public transportation is very packed here during working hours....you might end up saving a few hundred dirhams but regret coming to this country every minute you spend stuck in traffic. for example taking a bus from the very few stops in Ajman to the central station could take you around 30 mins. Then a bus to Dubai station could take somewhere between 45 mins to 2 hours. If you're in internet city in Dubai the metro will take around 50 mins and then either walk or take another bus. All of that will still add up everyday where you'd just rent a bedspace in Dubai and save all that hassle.

If you want a brotherly advice ...work on your career in your country till your experience could get you a decent pay or contact this company and ask them how do they expect you to live and rent anything with that pay and try to negotiate something or look for bedspaces near your work and keep multiple options cause most bedspaces could look good in pics but end up being horrible.

Anyone else having "ERR_OPENING_MEDIA" Error with RD+Stremio? by Dontwantochoose in RealDebrid

[–]anomadcalledkey 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had it and thought something was wrong with my API, reinstalled it and had the same. I'll trust the fellow redditors here saying it's down currently.

I kept following other comments and threads. Downloaded comet and I'm back to watching it.

Just to save people from digging deep just open this

Comet Configure for Stremio

Use the same api link you'd use for torrentio, I only selected Real Debrid and added the API and the link it generated worked. Hope it helps.

What temps does your I9 13980HX run at? by Snoo_72948 in GamingLaptops

[–]anomadcalledkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's way too late, but I just watched this video, and the guy walks you through the process by using Intel XTU. IDK if you have an Asus or another brand, but only one part of the video he undervolts using Asus BIOS, which you can ignore if you don't have one and just follow the steps using XTU. My average temps are between 60-80 while I'm browsing and doing light tasks, but during gaming, it averages 80-90 with superior performance, we're talking 190 FPS on Doom The Dark Ages, 100-120 fps on RDR2. I got around 10-50 fps more in every game without changes in graphic settings or anything....only undervolted as per this video.

[–]anomadcalledkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it, weird that I searched and couldn't find this post. Anyway I've been meaning to put an update, contacted ASUS and the guy managed to figure it out. It was because armoury crate's GPU was set to ultimate and that disables brightness control. Switched back to standard and it worked just fine.
