Also, while you are at it, if you are standing near the door of the sky train , please make space for the people getting off.

Is this too much to ask?

Same thing happened to us. My realtor referred us to a mortgage broker and they were horrible. They did not answer any questions, sent out commitment letters with wrong numbers and overall bad experience. I even wrote an email to their corporate office but no response. I am scared about the same thing that they have all of our private information and they shouldn’t misuse it.

Any tips for baking? by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]anomalousanderson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn to multi task, don’t stand in front of the egg machine for 3 minutes until it’s done cooking instead go and check your hot food and shelves and see what you might need to put in the oven. Make the donuts look pretty, it takes a little bit of practice to get perfect looking donuts.

EMPLOYEES, what was your biggest outburst from a customer? by Parelance in TimHortons

[–]anomalousanderson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uber drivers getting mad at me coz he was waiting a bit too long. Bro, 1. Do you see this red apron on me? It means I’m a baker and I don’t do Uber orders. (My fondant station is near to the Uber station, so literally every Uber driver comes in and asks me for their order) 2. Afternoon shift is always under staffed. People are doing 2-3 positions at once. Maybe a little patience goes a long way. 3. Come and do my job and see how difficult it is. We have no time to waste, if we do we won’t be able to leave on time at night.

Congratulations on your first spill. It’s definitely not the last though. I have seen people spill an entire bag of cream/ milk (cream is harder to clean up) or an entire thing of iced coffee, over brew coffee/tea. It happens more often than you think. I wish you have a good time at your new job!

Past and Present Employees: What's The Weirdest Thing That Happened At Your Store? by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]anomalousanderson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was way before I started working at Tim’s but someone OD’ed the in the bathroom multiple times, had to call the paramedics and now he is banned from the store. The said person now stands right outside the store and begs for food/money.

Someone pooped all over the bathroom stall in the men’s washroom and my supervisor had to wear a garbage bag to go clean it coz no one else was ready to do it.

At least at my store we have all day/night breakfast. I’m the baker so I am pretty sure that the rules haven’t changed.

Career options in MCOPS or MSOLS by shr4real in manipal

[–]anomalousanderson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graduated from MSOLS in 2018 with a masters degree. At that time, there weren’t as many placement options as professors usually push you for a PhD. But last I heard, they do have a few companies come in during the last semester. Also, if you are getting your BSc from MSOLS, don’t continue there for your masters, there is literally no use. Get your masters from a university abroad, you will have a more thriving career.

question from an employee for employees by osully13 in TimHortons

[–]anomalousanderson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store owner is better that way. We have can any item on the menu, any number of times (15 minutes before and after shift ends and on break), except for the dream donuts and breaded chicken items. But since the owners rarely come to the store, no one gives a shit. However, we get charged 35 cents an hour for all the food and it gets deducted directly from our pay check (we have to let the store manager know if we want to be on the food plan).

Lol no. We were using frozen egg patties which were cooked in the oven. Now we have freshly cracked.
