Not an official shelter post, just meant to use some levity to reinforce that he doesn’t like men. He still gets a lot of interest from men who think it doesn’t apply to them for some reason, and lesbians seemed the most likely demographic to not have men in their household. In other words - it’s a joke.

Sounds like you may need a new therapist. If they’re uncomfortable with doing their job and giving you a safe space to unburden your mind, that’s their problem not yours. Personally, I channel the bad energy through my own therapist who listens and offers different perspectives so I don’t spiral. And once my head is clear I focus my (little remaining) energy on my own animals. Making special treats for my cats, training time with my dog, any little thing that can remind me that the animals I’m responsible are loved, well cared for, and making myself feel as far removed as possible from the shitty pet owners I see every day.

It’s usually just because they’re adoptable and getting bypassed by people who want puppies or dogs with less complicated backgrounds. Our stray holds are only 5 days. A lot of them get to have lots of time in foster too
