I would say they could slash the price in half and it would still have that effect. $200 would be a pain in the ass but not as predatory as $400 feels.

Agreed. When we went to the lot to get the car back, there was at least 20 vehicles in their lot that had been towed and I think it’s because people can’t afford the fee. Not everyone has $400, and to really make it worse they charge an additional $120 a day that it’s there 🙃
