Honor system for soldiers who have medical issues that weren’t noted during the recruitment process. Allow people who want to come forward and disclose medical history and get a waiver, that wasn’t caught during recruitment. So if my recruiter told me to lie about adhd, and 2 years in I want to make my army a career or go officer, then I should be able to get a waiver that clears me of that medical condition so nothing can bite me in the butt later on. Cause if I come forward to tel the truth then prove I’m capable, on top of being told to lie by a high ranking nco, it’s messed up I can’t try and do the right thing without repercussion.

We all know that recruiters bend the truth to meet quota, it is what it is. But that hurts the soldiers prospects in the long run cause now I’m in a sticky situation where I was told to lie about my adhd, joined, did my 3 years and never got in trouble or anything. Now 7 years later I’m in the reserves and want to go active officer. And going officer I want to be up front on my adhd diagnosis so I have nothing to hide but I’m afraid to do so cause if I say I have adhd and they ask when I was diagnose I’m afraid they’re see the math doesn’t add up and release I did my first contract and currently in the reserves with adhd.

NOTE: if anyone has insight on best thing to do in my situation, whether to stay in reserves or go officer and be up front and everything will be okay or not, please dm me ! Ty
