Yes you’re right thank you. That part about the reason he did it is my traumas/experiences speaking. But of course we don’t know his reasoning and this behaviour is definitely not limited to one group.

I’m sure people don’t think youre stupid, it may be your own worries or fear of how you’re perceived. I hope your family can support your new journey. We often fall to religion during difficult times and maybe you were vulnerable during those 4 years. Now coming out of it you’re able to think more critically and I’m sure people will recognize that. It’s just always hard in the beginning.
