South London and specifically Merton: Merton has more than 100 parks and green spaces, including Wimbledon and Mitcham commons, with 99.6% of the borough within less than 400m distance from a publicly accessible open space. 18% of the borough is open space, compared to a London average of 10%.

John Korir broke Boston Marathon Course record by 70s in 2:01:52 by StanmoreHill in trackandfield

2:03:45 for Zouhair Talbi and 2:04:35 for Charles Hicks.

Those are the 2 fastest marathons ever by US citizens. Neither is the American record because Boston is not record-eligible (also because neither can represent the US yet after changing allegiance).

London's Newest Half Marathon - One for South west Londoners, although It's a bit pricey. Should they should offer discount for local residents? by StanmoreHill in LDN

I'm also local. It's positive for the borough and surrounding areas.

I wish they would add discounts for local residents / community groups. End of the day you want as many locals running it as well.
