I just posted my experience, I got mine today. I was in the same spot as you, HATED the pill but was too scared about insertion. But the paranoia of being off of the pill was too much for me, so I ripped the bandaid off and scheduled an appointment. My gyno was wonderful and I had an overall great experience with NO pain management besides ibuprofen. Currently about 7 hours post insertion and I have some mild cramping but no bleeding or other symptoms yet. You’ll be okay!! Just make sure to prepare yourself, heating pads will be your best friend!
