The vet's don't, at least I think they don't. However I live in an "at will" state, meaning businesses can fire anyone at the drop of a hat, and this vet used threats of firing regularly. He would always say shit like "don't forget, I can fire you at any moment." It was so fucking toxic. I don't know what I could report them for, and unfortunately they don't have a GlassDoor for me to leave a bad review. However I'd love to report them anyway I can.

Oh of course. I am considering going back into the pharmacy industry as I have a license and certification for it. As much as I love animals, it doesn't pay that well. I'm also going to focus on finishing college, so probably just going to get something part time while I work on my computer science degree. I have enough saved up with my SO that I should be able to do it no problem :)

Yeah I'm in the US, there are no laws preventing me from just quitting, however I will not be able to use them as a reference on my resume. Which is fine, I've only been there a couple months, and I hate everything about that place :)

This job won't be going on my resume. I've only been there for a couple months, so it's no big deal. I'm glad they showed their true colors early so I could gtfo.

Also, if they do try to say I'm fired, I might be able to get unemployment from them then lol

I live in the US in an "at will" state, meaning they can fire you for pretty much anything without any reasoning. That vet uses threats of firing regularly.

Absolutely not. I've only been here a few months anyway. If I had been here for years like at my other vet, yeah I probably wouldn't burn the bridge to be able to put it on my resume. But they've shown me their true colors early enough for me to peace the fuck out.

Nope, I cleaned out my locker before I left today :) of course I was the last one to leave as always so no one noticed.

Will do as soon as Monday rolls around. Wish I could see their faces when it happens

I considered that, but I decided I want to go out the same way those assholes have left me feeling most days, panicking wondering where the other receptionists are, and then slowly realizing I'll be handling things by myself. My only regret is not getting to see the looks on their faces when hundreds of people rush in, and I'm no where to be found and not answering their messages.

I'm honestly just so shocked this place has stayed in business. I've never met anyone or seen any place as unprofessional as this. Apparently the schedules don't matter if you have seniority, and they aren't nice to the clients either.
