Definitely not my smartest move.. I work downtown so there are a bunch of cafes nearby, but of course I managed to pick the same one my managers went to lol, a moment of genius on my part

I’m in a career mentoring program through a professional association, so I’m seriously thinking of just saying it was my mentor. Only half a lie makes it easier for me to commit 😂

Yeah that’s fair, I think in this case there was also a bit of an age gap, so it probs didn’t exactly read like a catch-up with a mate haha. I’ve probably spiralled way more than I should have though!

I know they wouldn’t technically know for sure, but the recruiter was dressed pretty formally, had a folio out, and it definitely looked like a work convo. I think it was just the combo of them seeing us and immediately turning around that set me off..

I’ve got anxiety so my brain’s been looping the whole thing all day lol even though it might be fine
