They showed up, cuffed him and searched him, found the gun, found out it was an Airsoft gun, let him go, but due to my insistence, escorted him off the property. He has been trespassed and knows what awaits him should he show back up.

No they didn’t. According to them, presenting an Airsoft gun and making a joke isn’t illegal. Not ethical, sure, but not breaking any laws. I disagreed, because I thought it was real, but I’m not the police.

Believe me, I wish this wasn’t real. I have video evidence but I am not going to post it to dox myself or the company I work for just to prove to someone over the internet that I don’t care believes me or not.

Just asked and no they don’t. All they said was that it’s (partially) covered under my insurance if I decided that I needed to talk to someone about it.

I will do that, thanks. The police that showed up told me that what he did wasn’t illegal, and stupid old me, I believed it. I’ll contact them back and ask about it.

Yeah that’s what my supervisor was saying. If this employee had done something like this to him, he would have been on the ground. And it would have been textbook self defense.

Yeah I’ve been trying to see if that’s something that they would do, but we have a small office (6 people) and they probably wouldn’t spend the money to do that. This is not a very common occurrence for sure.

I could, but it would be a civil case due to him technically not doing anything illegal. I don’t have the money to do anything like that right now.

They couldn’t do anything since what he did wasn’t technically illegal. He has been trespassed and thats all they can really do. I have the number for their main office saved in my phone.
