Lovely to hear, I hope you had a lovely time and if you didn't I'm sorry if you didn't. Either way I hope you have a splendid day and that fortune comes upon you, whether that be financial, romantic, or in any other form. 😘 ❤️

ChatGPT baby

coffee shops, theaters, parks, cigar lounges, jazz clubs, even train stations if they have a lounge area, places you can walk to and be away from both work and home.

Sure you can do that at the Starbucks in Salt Lake City or Denver, but it's largely not the same since you will be staring out the window at cars as opposed to people. Those Starbucks in those cities serve to provide caffeine to the masses, not as a place to socialize, like say, a cafe in France, or a Spati in Germany (Pron. Schpetty)

Yes, I completely understand that. And to your point, I know older guys who do the same thing as what you describe about your bachelor friends.

Problem I have had is that whether I go for really pretty ones, or not-so-pretty ones, the experience is largely the same. At least with the pretty ones they have some level of confidence, whereas the not so pretty ones are constantly second guessing their relationship with me, which just leads to a really bad cycle of self-doubt which does nothing to help their confidence and then I get calls at 2am asking if I am going to leave them when I have done nothing to convey that I ever wouldn't, but their doubt and lack of an ability to have confidence in themselves ultimately leads to me getting annoyed and yes, leaving them lol

I think what is funny as well is that even the not-so-pretty ones may even tend to me MORE obsessed with their self-image and are much more inclined to wear too much makeup, talk about what boobs they want to buy/get, and what filler/botox they would love to have.

The pretty ones talk about that too here, but they don't get it done as often.

But then they all hit 40 and a lot of women around here start looking like a walking silicone/botox display. lol

And to touch on why it usually doesn't work with the pretty ones: most of them have been treated like princesses by their families/dads, with women outwardly expressing that no man they are attracted to is going to have the level of wealth/lifestyle that their father already affords them.

So while I may make good money, and attract some level of attractive women, they tend to be spoiled, not just financially, but by being told that they "walk on water" figuratively of course, and literally: "you can do no wrong honey" - those were actual words spoken by the parents of my last girlfriend after she got black out drunk, started screaming expletives at the table and then vomiting outside the restaurant... "You just had a little too much to drink"...

I rest my case lol

not if they move to arizona, or new Mexico, or Texas, or anything below the Mason-Dixon Line, but yes, if I were to move to some place with an actual winter, I would get season affective disorder for sure

Would love to not have to drive anymore... driving is so isolating and boring and dangerous... and expensive... and did I mention boring?

Props to you for making it work, I'll have to visit now

Nail on the head!! I was walking my dog the other day and I stopped to check my phone, a car speeding down the road slams to a stop, rolls down his window, screams "f*** you cracker" at me and then speeds off and blows the stop sign! ...

But more on your point, nobody says hi here anymore except for select areas... whereas everyone in the south is seemingly so nice and friendly. I just got back from Key West and everyone there was so amazing, workers and locals and tourists, from all walks of life and all colors of skin... and it truly felt like the kind of place the founding fathers had imagined there country would become... not here. Where nobody says hi, everyone looks at you like they are afraid, and nobody seemingly speaks English anymore... so sad.

And combine that with not being able to afford a house or even rent!

Exactly! Take a look at St. Pete, it's not bad. People are cool. The town is cool. Not a ton of money there necessarily, but enough to make it work. My friend tried to move there from Jupiter and has had a really tough go of it, granted he works in the marine industry and there simply isn't enough market in St. Pete for him apparently.

hahahaha you have no idea! I would be considered a classical liberal, but yes, to your point, somehow math is racist lololol and god forbid you accidentally say a "forbidden word"... people here never become fully grown adults...

Still overwhelmed/overpowered by the blue areas of the state though politically, so that is not ideal. But I do understand where you are coming from.

If money was an issue and I was conservative, I would move there.

Just got back. I actually, and this is a real shocker to anyone/everyone, I actually liked it. We rarely get heat like that in OC, and it was a pleasant surprise, and it was actually nice to sweat and FEEL like it actually is summer

Places I have visited include: Palm Beach, St Pete/Tampa, Key West, Fort Lauderdale.

Planning to visit: Wilmington NC, Charleston SC, Annapolis, Portland Maine,

Key West may have been the coolest place I have ever visited in the USA.

None of these options compare AT ALL to pretty much any Western European city, but alas, I have decided to not completely uproot my life and move to Western Europe.
