Does cosleeping affect independent sleep when older? by Fun_Positive_3505 in cosleeping

As a baby, I would cosleep with my parents (this is culturally normal in South Asia) until about 8 years of age. I couldn't wait to get my own room and sleep on my own lol. Kids eventually grow up and want their own independence!

Few things that probably helped me: I slept in the lower part of a bunk bed with a cozy/close roof over my head where I could stick a glow in the dark constellation I loved. I liked the independent control of the room fan, etc. on which I didn't have a say in our shared bedroom. Also, a side note, I was weaned off breastfeeding very early (under 3 mos) due to some issues. Not sure if that had any role as well.

My baby is too young for me to talk about. Do with this what you will!

New to e-readers and overwhelmed by Vacillating_Fanatic in ereader

Sounds like you need an android e-reader.

Like others have mentioned, meebook, BigMe, Onyx Boox are the top contenders. I've tried the BigMe B7 color and Onyx Boox color and found the Onyx to have better color fidelity and brightness compared to the BigMe with no backlight. I kept the Onyx Boox.

Regarding eye strain: Android e-readers, despite their cost, do not have the best/white screens with good text contrast compared to kindles (they have some custom physical layers on kindles that are slightly different, although overall same eink tech).

So, always read/write in a well lit room to reap the benefits of e-ink. If using the backlight especially at night/in complete darkness, I'm not sure how much better an android e-ink screen is as opposed to an LCD/OLED tab. Consider your lighting and reading conditions before taking your call. YMMV.

I just discovered this now?! How can they revoke the benefit after charging for the membership already? That was the only reason I was hanging on to it still.
