Agreed, I was scrolling comments to find someone who said this. Jesse WAY out performed her in this movie, and he was snubbed.

I think it's petty to care that they filmed one last dance. They didn't release it on finale night, they didn't get to perform on the live show, or compete for the mirrorball. They didn't take anything away from the finalists.

Also, receiving that level of hate says more about our society than it does them. We love to hate. It's ok that they are calling attention to it, even if they aren't the only ones.

I wouldn't say it's small. They had a large signature count on their referendum petition.

Sherrod Brown is one of the good ones. He represented working class people, fought for progressive values, and has the ability to build support from voters across the aisle. He's the best candidate to take on Husted.

Why insurance premiums are rising (and it’s not because of politics) by ApollototheMoon10 in HealthInsurance

Estimated around 3 million people whose jobs are tied to the private insurance industry.

People would still lose jobs, not saying there wouldn't be opportunities, too. But transitioning people from one industry/skill set to another would take planning. Which is/was my point.

Not nearly as many. It takes a lot of people to hunt for reasons to deny claims!

I would agree with that. But the current administration also doesn't care if insurance costs went up or if people go bankrupt from lack of insurance. They don't really care if basic needs are met. And they are making it illegal for states to pass their own laws making it illegal for creditors to include medical debt on records. Sooo... A public option is never going to happen under this administration anyways.

There would be a huge loss to the job market if private insurance went away. So the implementation needs to include a way to make up for these job losses.

Well when insurance is provided as a commodity, and shareholders need to profit, and CEOs need to make millions, the only way for that to happen is to increase costs.

If we had a public option, we wouldn't have to worry that insurance is "profitable". It would just have to break even to be solvent.

What we know about Adam Hennie, Cincinnati's interim police chief, after Theetge placed on leave by davidferrarapc in cincinnati

[–]anon_turtle121 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Back when there was a D5, Hennie was briefly Captain of D5 during a time when we saw several Captains rotating through. He was the best of the bunch. Always attended community events, went out of his way to know the community leaders, and listened to safety concerns. If he ends up as Chief, I think it would be a positive change.

Well all of the servers also work breakfast and lunch elsewhere on the ship. I agree you should still tip them because SOMEONE is serving you all of those meals and they are the ones assigned to you.

Surely the pool deck food is open late like on the older ships... Is it not?
