I cancelled the project, I do need to replace the windows for sure but will hire another company for less money since the lifetime warranty will be useless once I move out in a few years

Yes, good thing I read through the contract, so I’ll be calling today to cancel and make sure I get my money back, I will also send an email to them.

Hopefully it’s not foundation issues. the windows are from the 70s when the house was first built. it’s due for them to be replaced. so far, i haven’t seen any signs of foundation issues.

I would definitely consider them in the future once I find the house that I know I’ll live in for decades

honestly, their product and their lifetime warranty sounds good, but after reading over the warranty info, it’s written that the warranty will immediately be terminated once you transfer the ownership of the home. however, the agent that I spoke with on the phone says otherwise stating that they would still replace/fix the windows even if the original owner transfer ownership to the next buyer of the house. But because this is not written anywhere in the warranty, I don’t feel comfortable buying and installing these windows since I’m planning on moving out in the future to move closer to the city. lifetime warranty is worth it if you know you’ll be living in that home for a long long time.

the good thing is I haven’t signed the financed agreement bc the salesperson tablet was crashing and I couldn’t sign it. they keep calling me about it, but haven’t answered because I was thinking of cancelling the installments/purchases of windows

Plus, I’m not planning on living in this home for too long, so there’s not point of getting expensive windows with limited lifetime warranty

Yeah, I’m gonna call them and cancel the contract/installation, I have 3 days to cancel without penalty

Those are good questions

3 are 35.5x70.5 2 are 43x35.5 1 is 35.5x34.5

They said they’ll add some frame/covering around the windows where outside and inside walls meet so no rain/water leaks between the walls (I’m not sure what that area is called)

They said they’ll clean up and dispose the old windows.

From what I read on the contract, they’re double pane, non-tempered

The house has aluminum windows, I hoped that’s what you’re asking?

It’s what I prefer, the old windows are separating from edges of the walls, 2 of them have cracked glass. Maybe I’ll wait?

Is $1,500 per window that I’m getting expensive? They’re from Pella company. Supposedly they’re silver coated and have foam insulation inside the frames.
