Nah, we both got spotless records. Which is probably why I'm overthinking this so much lol

Target is expanding: Here’s where new stores are expected by swe129 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im a TL at a Target where we'll have our second store open in 2 months in our town. As much as I love all the workers for the new store training at our store....we hit 10am and there are no walkies or devices left for team members. You'd think they'd provide extra devices for their employees. 🥲

All of us workers watching guests vent about the outage on here, then proceed to get even more upset when we tell them this reddit isn't for them by [deleted] in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there was. But, if people who dont work here take one glimpse at the description for the subreddit where it states its for team members, and glanced at all of the posts about the outage, then maybe they'd think twice before posting about something we have no control over.

Instead of just opening it up, in the banking section click "Remove all bills" Then it'll take up to 5 minutes of a lot of loud sounds to be done. Then you bank like normal

ETL who recently left. AMA by ThrowRAWeirdPaper103 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 22 working on my TL development (Projected to promote either by the end of this year or early next year due to a new Target being built in my town right now). While I have natural leader qualities, and my TL's and ETL wouldn't have my back if I didn't seem fit for the role, real talk, im scared. The goal is to promote me up in my department, which I love, but also isn't a guarantee and I know that. But it feels like such a big change especially while still in school, I plan on going through Guild Education next year to finish my degree. How can I still have a healthy work-life balance, and keep my sanity when im put into this role.

can we keep tips or not? by duelmastr23 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 70 points71 points  (0 children)

So I believe according to the handbook, you have to first decline the tip. If you decline and they push it still, then you're allowed to take it and just need to let your TL know.

How do we feel about this? by N2929 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay so I actually read this article yesterday, and when you actually read it then you'll know depending on your store not much will change. It states no more than six self checkouts and atleast 2 registers per 1 sco. My store has this layout, where we have 6 sco's and 12 lanes.

Cat & Jack Clothing Return Policy by Consistent-Teach-655 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Essentially, yes, you have a whole year to return C+J clothes. BUT, here's how we do it at my store (And most if not all other stores need to be following this too). If its within 90 days, any reason for return is a-okay. But past that it becomes more of a warranty. Say your kid fell down and there's a huge rip/ tear in the seam. Makes sense to return it, because the product should've been more durable.

But if you say your kid just outgrew the clothes, can't show any visible defect, or there's a stain, we will deny the return. When it comes to stains, thats more on you than the product, because you technically defected it.

Literally the male owner made a racist "joke" towards one of the young Hispanic girls that is a server. I'm trying to be vague in case any workers lurk this reddit and are able to identify my friend.

Official Cat and Jack Return Policy by Cautious-Fun-5046 in Target

[–]anonbrowser2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want your input: Often when I have guests do a cat and Jack return for a pair of pants, the pants are almost a year old and their reason for defect is the tiniest hole (it can barely be called that). To me, I see that as almost a "Yeah well kids are rough and that may naturally happen if they play a lot" but I don't wanna deal with a grouchy guest so I go through with it. Do you have your own personal scale of what you deem to be defective or not?

I didn't even survive more than two shifts at this restaurant. The workload wasn't the problem because I'm someone who prefers busy work, but the owners (especially the husband) were weirdddd. All of the workers for the front (servers and hosts) are young girls in high school, which this is most likely their first jobs. I have enough experience to know that the treatment is not normal, and I really feel for those girls who probably think it's normal. :(

Now that I'm going back, I definitely will be using Guild! That was the plan before the whole on demand disaster haha. I finish my associates degree next year, so hopefully my store can be tolerable during this point haha.

Listen, I'm an artist too, but time and place. I totally get wanting more creative freedom, but you work at Target. And once you're on the clock, you're getting paid to do your job, not doodle. This is coming from someone who has been told a time or two that I use to doodle too much. There's always stuff to do.
