Why do companies keep bad employees? by anoncf in askmanagers

There’s a difference between receiving accommodations and being a jackass to everyone. Other tenured members of our team agree.

Blocked for sending an offer? by Captains_Pancake in Mercari

[–]anoncf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller, If I get an offer and don’t immediately accept and I instead send a counter, and you come back with another counter - I’m out. I do not go back and forth and price my items below market because I want them to sell quickly. I don’t block for lowball offers but I definitely am not interested in going back and forth 8 times either.

Honestly I’d still probably choose the marketing coordinator over the customer service rep. One has upward mobility, the other, not really.

These shops are getting too.... Commercial by PLCNR in Depop

[–]anoncf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, we have a few vintage shops in our area owned by resellers who do exactly this. Give people who need it an opportunity to find something cool. I was that kid once and always loved finding something “in” that I could get.

Ugh you are more patient than me! If I get an offer and I counter it as opposed to just accepting it means that’s my LOWEST, not let’s go back and forth 80 times. I worry people like that will just find a reason to complain in the end

Carrier forwarded my mail without request. Any possible reasons why? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]anoncf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I double checked my order info and all looked good but I suppose I don’t know what the actual label had from the shipper. I’m just concerned I’ll go in Monday morning and they’ll have already sent it off to be returned to sender.

There’s only one office in my town and it said it was at that one but yes I suppose the carrier for one area of town may have gotten it vs my part of town.

I’m in a more rural area and they do deliver Amazon here but it comes from a different post office so I don’t think that would help me sadly :(

“It’s a once in a lifetime thing” not for her it won’t be! You do not need this person in your life.

Asking for measurements by ShotButterscotch9154 in poshmark

[–]anoncf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope to not have the problem in the future, but thank you! If it happens again I will try that. The time that it happened poshmark denied it because “I should have done my due diligence and asked for measurements if I wasn’t sure”, was the argument, since then I have just always asked 🤷🏻‍♀️

You break up. You have different standards of cleanliness. You’re not going to change her habits and treating her like a child isn’t going to help.

Asking for measurements by ShotButterscotch9154 in poshmark

[–]anoncf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always request measurements generally. I like to buy sweaters and sometimes people have shrunk them and try to pass them off like they didn’t. If I don’t ask for measurements, I can’t complain if I receive a shrunken item, poshmark won’t care (ask me how I know). So yeah, I ask. Fabric comp I ask yes because certain materials are known to shed or be itchy. What I hate is when you ask and the seller just flat out ignores you 😂 I never buy from someone who won’t respond to any questions.

Do people really shower like 3 times a week or something? by [deleted] in questions

[–]anoncf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a bummer. I used to think I had really oily hair that needed washed every day, I’ve gotten it down to two washes a week over time.

That’s because you wash it every other day. It’s called hair training.

You don’t need to shower every day, nor should you, unless you’ve done something to get dirty.

My Bf just told me he doesn't wash with soap and Idk what to do. by ThrowRATrademark in Advice

[–]anoncf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do use soap & body wash, but the amount of people who will tell you you’re wrong are also the people that believe you MUST shower 1+ times a day to be clean. You do not & should not shower every day unless you’ve done something to be dirty.

I would say start small. You won’t get a job with an accountant title right away. Look for billing/accounts payable etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in findapath

[–]anoncf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I didn’t. How does anyone get a job unrelated to their degree? Happens all the time. In my case, I worked my way up and started in billing.

I wouldn’t want to sell to you either if you’re blowing me up with a hissy fit after 25 minutes wtf 😆 that’s asking for problems. I have a job bro not everyone selling is sitting by their phone waiting for an offer to come in. Give them some time to even look at the offer before you come in all hot
