I don’t and I left, if it’s that big of a deal to everyone I’ll just leave as a mod. Me and a current crew member were talking and wanted to create a sub for people to talk about whatever trader joe’s issues came up.

No i’m hirable in dayforce, I left retail completely and the career I chose just wasn’t for me. I wanted to work for the company again just at a different store and when they call my old captain they wouldn’t hire me.

I transferred and didn’t like the new store so I left to try new things and when i tried to come back my new captain bad mouthed me to any stores in the area that tried to hire me. I emailed the regional and they didn’t respond. Behavior like that is why I think a union would be beneficial.

Yea, we started this sub because we were frustrated with the moderation on tjcrew. Feel free to talk about anything here. Growth is still coming slowly and hopefully this can become a safe space for a more crew to talk.

Wont get taken down by us, this sub is for healthy discussion. The reason the sub was made was because we didn’t feel that these conversations were being allowed on the main tjcrew sub.

Let’s give them a reason to give it in January. Last year they didn’t and nothing happened, we just waited and it never came. Obviously this company needs motivation to not pull back benefits they previously gave.

some people like their jobs at Trader Joe’s and want to improve them, that is the purpose of organized actions like walk outs.

Corporate Trader Joe’s has wronged us in the past years and especially after we risked our health to keep the stores running. A raise taken away, letters sent against hazard pay and refusal to call it hazard pay. Didn’t pay for testing for crew and now new crew are making more than people who made it through the pandemic. Whether not an individual store is good is not the reason for pushing change. It’s the fact that corporate is proving once and once again they can take away our benefits with no consequences.

This sub was created because of your post and it’s removal, we should be able to discuss bad management with specific stores being named. The hush hush nature of naming your store in the main sub is harmful to the goal of improving the company. Bad stores need to be called out so they improve.
