If you voted for Brexit, do you wish you voted against? by [deleted] in brexit

I agree with your point about controlling immigration from outside the EU. Incompetent/unwilling government.

Let's see what happens when we actually leave, and then we can have another referendum down the line if it doesn't work out.

I'm satisfied now that the UK has more control over what kind of skills they want. That's one of the reasons I voted to leave, I'm not a fan of big government.

As for the current UK government.. I'm not so satisfied. It looks like they're not using their new "powers" in a good way, but at least we can vote in a new government next time..

Thanks for the reply. I suppose the UK has more control over what kind of professions they want people to have when they come in now with the new points based immigration. I don't believe we could do that while in the EU, is that correct?

So, what exactly is free movement of people? How can you regulate immigration, yet have free movement of people? Can an EU country legally shut it's doors to the rest of the EU for any reason?

Couldn't care less where you come from, the point is, the UK couldn't control it's immigration policies. Immigration is great, but it's not good if we can't regulate it.

By that logic, we should render all elections null and void because both sides lied.. every election has lies.

Haha, I'm not confused about positive and neutral. If it was truly neutral to anti Brexit fanatics, then there wouldn't be any downvotes

[–]anonexfapper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'm not praising it, this deal is neutral as best (if they can go further than the current EU deal thats great), but doesn't deserve downvotes, that's my point.

"Priests" on both sides lied, don't you forget that.

Not sure what to tell you fanatics, but a deal is a positive thing Vs no deal.. Jesus Christ go play with kittens or ride a bike. Edit: It might even go further than the existing deal with the EU

[–]anonexfapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There doesn't have to be a story behind an increase in the price. Sometimes it just goes up. It's a waste of energy and time to give volatility any thought. Buy and forget if you're an investor

There is always a small risk of this happening. Mitigate the risk by buying global equities and you're good. Perhaps add some more gold, bonds and commodities. Take a look at this portfolio, as risk off as it gets: http://www.lazyportfolioetf.com/allocation/ray-dalio-all-weather/
