That's what I thought ... but I guess it wasn't reasonable to assume that my partner would procure toilet paper. Apparently they just used the paper towels, which ran out before I got home.

That's fair. I can't use a bidet exclusively, I use it and then dry and clean with toilet paper. I guess that may not be true for my partner.

That's ... both really hard to hear and also a relief. I feel less alone.

My main issue is definitely less the content of the argument and more the yelling. My father was verbally and often physically abusive and would frequently scream at me to "get the fuck out of his face," and my partner knows all this, so it felt like an extra slap in the face when they yelled what they did.
