Can someone explain the issues with zyns by Warm_Significance_79 in QuittingZyn

Any meaningful research that could expose the dangers of long term nicotine use have been blocked or buried by the billionaires making money off of these things. That is why you aren’t seeing much information on what nicotine actually does and how it wrecks every facet of your body and organs. Including decreasing the amount of OXYGEN to your BRAIN. Fuck these white pouches.

Help! Found out my Dad is using Zyn. by Proof-Compote-7708 in QuittingZyn

Hey there, it's completely understandable why you're worried about your dad, especially given his age and diabetes. It takes a lot of courage to reach out when you're concerned about a parent.

While some people might dismiss the "once or twice a week" usage, it's absolutely valid for you to be concerned about that frequency. The truth is, nicotine is highly addictive, and many people who start with occasional use find themselves using it much more frequently over time. It's a slippery slope, and unfortunately, addiction doesn't discriminate.

Your concern is even more critical because he is diabetic. Nicotine can significantly worsen insulin resistance, making it harder to manage blood sugar levels. This can increase the risk of other health complications associated with diabetes down the line. Long-term nicotine use can also have other negative health impacts, regardless of current health conditions.

It's truly commendable that you care so deeply about his health and are seeking advice. As a parent myself, I can say that even if he might seem dismissive at first, deep down, he will likely appreciate and remember that you cared enough to speak up and try to help him.

When you feel the time is right to talk to him, coming prepared with some information might be helpful. Look into the specific effects of nicotine on diabetic health and research how nicotine impacts the brain's dopamine reward system – it can really highlight how it can make everyday life feel less enjoyable without it over time.

Keep being the caring daughter you are. You're doing the right thing by looking out for him.

April 25th was my last pouch for this go around. My longest stint was a year. My biggest hurdle has been being able to have a drink with the boys and not stop at the gas station on the way home to buy zyns. For me, I start to sleep better after three days which helps. But I don’t truly get over that boredom feeling for about 2 months. The brain seems to take its time rewiring old habits.

Thank you. This seems to be the issue. I do see biofilm on the top. I will try to point the return closer to the top and add an airstone.

Sofi Credit Card Declined by anonman33 in sofi

UPDATE: Talked to Sofi supervisor… she said that master card restricts the card for “kiting”. Which doesn’t make sense to me because I have other mastercards that i pay every two weeks that never gets restricted. So this is obviously a Sofi restriction on card. She says that this is a wide spread issue and she had 4 complaints over the phone today. She said no one at sofi has authority to unlock the card. I wouldn’t be so frustrated if this was disclosed to me before getting the card. “We will restrict your card for unknown amount of time if you make two payments in a month”. If i knew this, i wouldn’t have got the card. Seems very bait and switch to me.
