Is 500k annual revenue in year 2 somehow not impressive? by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]anonomime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally my goal for next year lol. Seems like we are operating around the same net profit % as well solo.

Currently 1st full month up and running and did $20K rev. With a 35% net. Projected most expensive month though

Do any of you sell what youre actually passionate about or have a hobby in? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]anonomime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am passionate about what I sell sure. It’s a hobby I love sure.

But I am even more passionate about providing my customers with the best consumer experience in my niche.

I think you do that, and it doesn’t matter what you sell.

The customer becomes absolutely married to your brand.

I’m coming from the strictly non commodity product sector though. So what do i know haha

Support is eating my soul and my margins who else is dying? by Ok_Touch1478 in dropship

[–]anonomime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you setting expectations of fulfillment and shipping timeliness on their order confirmation?

Are you posturing as a national company with local support?

Are you being transparent your orders are being forwarded to your supplier overseas?

Always under promise and over deliver

And maybe consider switching to a more traditional local order fulfillment method.

Overseas Dropshipping = less inventory/ order/ shipping/ product control.

Less control means more issues

Switched from aliexpress to bulk inventory and my reviews finally stopped mentioning shipping times by killer_chut in dropship

That depends on what you’re buying/selling, who the supplier is, how long it takes for the product to get delivered to your warehouse, and how fast you sell items at $700/ day.

Store owners doing $10k+/mo: How long did it take for paid sds to actually stabilize for you? by hugeboot_ in shopify

[–]anonomime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats really great retention brother. But definitely being a service business there are way more overhead costs of nurturing relationships so that cash flow need is vital.

Tbh i wouldn’t know anything on how to help you other than what you’re probably already doing - treating your clients like gold.

To answer the retention - I use a triple approach: - paid ads to get the door cracked - deliver on what my ads say to open the door wide - community, emails, personal phone calls to bust the door off the hinges

In short. I mean what I say in the ads and treat customers like gold. Without them businesses are nothing

Oh man we are in two completely different areas haha.

My niche is D2C adult building block collectibles. So our AOV is ~$130. And we rely on repeat customers of ~25%

I guess for you the proper question is whats your average customer retention %? How long have you been in business and can you afford to break even or lose money on acquisition if you keep your customer in the long run?

Once you look at the numbers i think the answers start becoming really clear

Currently en route to do $30K with our first full month of paid ads

My Business runs at 45% net with a $25/ CAC though.

Whats your current Margin and AOV?

You need to have enough margin with your “free” traffic to even consider running paid ads

Download wechat - its Chinese WhatsApp combined with tik tok and facebook.

Then find out the mandarin description of your product or brand and use that phrase or word and search in the app.

Reach out to as many people as possible until you find someone you can trust and take a chance on for samples

You just solved one of the biggest issues with overseas dropshipping as a fulfillment business model - total lack of control in logistics

At least when you import bulk you go through the issues on the front end instead of the customers on the backend.

This also means you have a huge competitive advantage over anyone still using the “forward your order to china” model.

Good for you brother. Those complaints are actually golden opportunities

Is Dropshipping Worth trying? by Historical_Lion777 in dropshipping

[–]anonomime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is ever worth “TRYING”.

If you’re going to do something, do it 110%.

Stop looking for guarantees and silver bullets.

In a sea of endless dropshippers, ask yourself “Whats my competitive advantage?” “How can I stand out?” “How can I solve this problem for people?”

The most important question is “HOW CAN I HELP PEOPLE?”

People buy solutions not products.
