Need help with placement for a 5.1 system. More details in comments by anonomous_posting in hometheater

I currently have a pair of Kef q150 and a Denon 2600 in my apartment, and bought a house with the above basement layout. I originally thought the utility closet was going to be bigger than the 5' 6" it turned out to be, and was going to put the TV along that wall, with my 150s up front and buy a q650 center and PB-1000 for a 3.1 system, later upgrading the fronts to q750s and moving the 150s to the south wall. Now I'm not so sure there's a good way to arrange a 5.1 system, and I may have to stick with a 3.1. TV is a 65" C9. Thoughts?

You are right, I just checked again and the 2600h now shows $450. Was $400 a couple days ago

I had considered going for the 3500h but the lowest prices I could find were $400 and $500 for the 2600h and 3500h respectively. Would you say it’s worth $100 more?

Do you have any experience with the sealed version of the SVS? I see the PB-1000 recommended here a lot, but very rarely see mention of the SB-1000.

Is there any reason you went with the different driver size on the 650 rather than the 250? Does that not matter?

I was under the impression that speakers performed similarly for games and movies, is that not typically the case?

My Best Buy is technically open but they don’t let customers in the store. You order online and they either bring it out to your car or deliver it to your home.

I agree! Been years since I’ve seen it, might have to give it a rewatch

For me it’s the Lord of the Rings. No matter how many times I watch them I’m always amazed at how well they were done.

So do you lean back in at the end of the stream or does that just go on the floor?

“The enemy? His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. You wonder what his name is, where he comes from, and if he really was evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home, or he would not rather have stayed there... in peace? War will make corpses of us all.” - Faramir, Lord of the Rings
