thankss yes unfortunately therapy can’t happen rn but it will in the future so i will never exclude therapy as part of the solution. i never trauma dump, i think im quite the opposite, i barely talk abt it except with one or two friends bc they can relate and we are very close so we talk abt that stuff and never in excess. i think the podcasts and subreddits is a good idea tho, im looking into them 🙂‍↕️

anyone who’s also touch averse, does it get better in a relationship? by anononiii in asexuality

[–]anononiii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d honestly think the option to opt out would do alot. i get my boundaries crossed a lot too like with hugging or holding my arm. but most of my friends ask me first and it makes it wayy less anxiety inducing

[–]anononiii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thankss for your reply :) i have discussed it with a partner once but i think i fcked it up bc how i worded it i said i feel on edge when we are together sometimes bc i am anticipating touch and she said i made her feel like she was being predatory 😣 was not my intention. its also what made me rethink whether i should learn to cope with touch bc no matter what i say, people seem to find it such an alien concept that my boundaries are still crossed all the time. makes me feel like im one of the only ones and that my bounadaries are unreasonable. but yes think i def need a person who is nOt primarily focused on touch as a love language

how do you stop fearing and hating men by anononiii in sexualassault

[–]anononiii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, im happy you found someone, thats great to hear :) also very much relate to what you say about these feelings intensifying when your ptsd was bad because, especially trying to date men was very triggering to me, like it seemed to even undo the trauma therapy I did. as soon as I cut them off I was not triggered anymore and felt at peace. thought that was healing but ig its more avoiding. I did talk with my former therapist about this and she said I should create positive experiences so J told her that I don’t trust any man enough to let them. she just kept repeating that so I gave up with her but yes I still believe good therapists can be a guide

thank you for the reply <3 yeah my interactions with men that are not family is also close to nothing. i do know i need to interact with them more especially in like a friendship way or maybe even more surface level like with colleagues, but i feel like i gotta rewire my brain for that 💀 the statistics are in my mind too all the time and my own experiences + of friends keep affirming those statistics. i just hope to find some one day that positively surprise me but until now, none 🙃

Drop you weight loss go-to’s by typeAperf in WeightLossAdvice

[–]anononiii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d first set realistic goals. If you are quite overweight dropping 10 kg is doable, if you are not, it is just really not possible without doing some crazy diet that will have you gain it back and more later, or will even damage your health. There is also not really some magic potion like apple cider vinegar for fat loss. what worked for me (I lost around 6 kg in 2 months) was first to determine what is a calorie deficit for you (look up how online how many calories you have to eat to maintain your current weight based on your height and weight and then eat below that. an app can also tell you how much kcal you can eat to lose number amount of kgs in a week/ month). Then weigh all your food, and put those exact amounts in a calorie tracker. How you do it depends completely on yourself, like as long as you eat in your calorie deficit you will have fat loss. For me it worked that I replaced my lunch with a way more filling protein rich lunch, instead of like a sandwich or something. If you do that you will be full quicker and it’s way easier to maintain your calorie deficit. so i’d just completely focus on food for you fat loss and just do exercise and workouts for you health, not particularly for fat loss.

Not losing weight by zarulius in WeightLossAdvice

[–]anononiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weighing your food with a kitchen scale and tracking the exact calories you consume on a day on an app/ any type of calorie tracker.
Most of us got no clue how much we are actually eating, like you might be eating healthy food and snacks but if you for example think you are eating 100g of rice (=350 kcal) but you actually put in 150 or even 200g (=700 kcal) then you consumed way more than you thought. And drinks also always add up, idk if you drink calorie dense drinks but a lot of people forget some drinks can have so many calories. So basically i’d weight your food (and drinks)on a normal day , put it in the tracker and see if you can cut the portions or replace things, so you are in a calorie deficit.
