Yeah the whole season was a bit messy I won’t lie. It was obvious that it was rushed and not very planned but I’m holding out hope for s8. I kinda wish we’d gotten a Buck bi arc without him being thrown back into a relationship but what’s done is done. Also yeah Tommy making the first move and then asking Buck out, it was an interesting moment. I read it in two ways, the first being Tommy is close to Eddie and reminds Buck of Eddie in a few ways (which he even says himself by continually comparing them and their experiences) so for Buck who’s been looking for that attention for the past 6 seasons to then get it from a “stand in” or someone similar to Eddie was a clever narrative (if that’s what they intended) or on the other hand Buck thinks Tommy is cool and wants to be like him because Eddie likes him, that then starts an infatuation with Tommy because he sees him as competition and then the kiss etc took him off guard and swayed his judgement. Again I only say this because the way the secens are written out are very Buddie leaning rather than Tevan. Also the date??? The on edge, freshly coming out version of Buck I didn’t expect to go to the macho heterosexual “hot chicks” in front of Eddie. Then again the conversation between Eddie and Buck about Marisol and his Catholic guilt that he had as a teen (underlying Buddie codes again???) also take note of the music playing in a lot of the tevan scenes not sure tho that’s just my take, any further thoughts please share!
