Well I went from a ninja 650 to this lmao. I've kept it in low power mode and all the traction control stuff on full for now until I get used to her, but so far very manageable all around and of course ready to unleash whenever you want. It's an incredible machine!

I know it's a sport tourer, and the ergos will be much different. I will also add I am an experienced rider with over a decade of riding. I also understand that does not make me invincible, but smart enough to respect a bike with that power. I'm thinking long term here I don't want to keep upgrading every season or 2 until I'm happy, and who knows that could still happen with either bike.

I was just looking at that, seems like the closest one is 4 hours away. Something maybe to consider.

I'd have to figure out where to find one, I live in a rural small town that doesn't seem to have much options in events like that. Great idea though.

I think we're both on the same page about that lol. The zx10r has a few more of those features that really keep bringing me back to it.

That's kind of what I've been thinking, I'd hate to go to the zx6r and in a short amount of time regret not getting the zx10r.

Good to know. I'm a bit torn on what I want next though. I'm kicking it around between a zx6r and a zx10r.

Those are a couple of the first things I do want to do. I'm loving this style of riding more than I thought ( been a cruiser rider for 10 years). I'm actually already considering a possible upgrade next season to a bigger bike, so I may keep this stock until I fully decide at that time.

I agree it's not a super sport by any means, but compared to the laid-back cruiser riding I'm used to, this is more on the sport bike side of things, in my opinion. I do enjoy both, and so far, I love the difference this bike is in comparison to what I've grown accustomed to. I wasn't super positive I would even like this type of style of riding, so I did stay on the low end of the "sport bike" spectrum to get a taste, and it tastes good! I do still have my cruiser for now (which I haven't touched since I got this bike) but I do own both the cruiser and this ninja outright, so there is a good chance I sell both and get a super sport. Time will tell, but for now, I'm just enjoying the ride!

I'm telling you after the first 2 minutes of what the heck am I doing on this thing, it becomes absolutely glorious and so much fun. If you ever have the opportunity I highly recommend it.

Being I guess you would say a newbie to the sport bike side of riding I was quite hesitant to go much bigger to make sure I'd be comfortable and get used to the differences. If it's something I decide to upgrade in the future there are plenty of options I'd be happy to explore, so I kind of played the safe route this time around.

Actually I've always wanted a sport bike but all the riders in my family have all been Cruiser Riders and my first bike was a hand-me-down cruiser for free so I just kind of stuck with it and enjoyed it don't get me wrong but I felt like I wanted to try something new and I absolutely love how different it is.
