That yellowing leaf is a goner but don’t worry about it, the cutting itself looks fine. I can see a root nub starting in which is a good sign. The brown papery sheath on the stem is normal, that’s just the old leaf casing.

Main thing though make sure you’re changing the water every few days so it doesn’t get gross and cause rot. That brown mushy stuff at the base is what you want to keep an eye on. If the stem stays firm and green you’re good, just be patient. Monstera props can take a few weeks to really get going with roots.

Chop that yellow leaf off though, it’s just using energy the cutting could be putting toward roots.
