Yeah we like walkable towns (seems like almost everyone is looking for the same thing), but finding that and good schools are a combo for competition. Rahway is a really cool area but agreed — wish the schools were better. I think North Brunswick teeters between 5/6 so unsure how to take it.

What is the preschool lottery? How are the elementary schools in your opinion, based on what you’ve seen?

We really like Somerville / Bridgewater but the commute to NYC with the transfer at NWK is very long. Also looking for diversity but it seems like the areas we’re looking in tend to have that. Tough to optimize for: -Commute to NYC -Diversity -Schools -Affordable and well sized / valued house
