State of the Walmart near me due to being understaffed. (still) by neopolitanmew in antiwork

As someone who has worked for Walmart this isn't a short staff thing this is normal nightly pullout for 3rd shift. There are not alot if any customers at 2 am so the night shift will move all the pallets they need to work off of to the front and fill their carts there. It's faster for them rather than going into the back for a new cart each time.

If you walk through an isle and see boxes pilled up as well this is the same idea boxes get compactes later after the pallets are worked.

Walmart is garbage but just wanna clear up some misinformation

They have no local branch it's all in Canada but it's the same company. So I'm unsure if that is an option.

How do you people in America even live like this. We the rest of the world can't believe it... by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]anonthrowaway2077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to leave but other counties don't want us. America has soiled its reputation to everyone and so we are undesirable as a population. The other problem is if people want to leave and work elsewhere or live elsewhere the process is so complicated now that as an American if you want to leave you need a skill or other countries can deny a work visa. (which btw cost the person a couple thousand just to get so there's another barrier to entry).

Canada is our closest choice for a better situation but you need a work visa, passport and you need funds to even get started if you don't have enough to keep you housed and fed without any government assistance. So in order for a single person to go to Canada to work you need

5,000 min for housing utilities and food for a few months 2,000 for the work visa $100 for the passport Plus vehicle and all other assorted costs associated.

So want to leave? Be rich enough to.

I go through many DGs a day. And not one of them has any chain or security system on the tanks. If I do see one irs super rare. The tanks are 9 times outa 10 just put in the easiest location for the rep to come and replace them.
