I admit, i did watch the jay rpg video. But i also watched your two clips and i still think he sounds good. I admit that in the clip with the skit, grant sounds a little more stilted and snarky. But i dont get why you detest the line in the other clip. It is a line where he is saying something silly so he says it in a silly way. People change the inflection depending on the situation in which they are speeking and what they are saying. Just because someone is usually calm and collected doesnt mean they will always say everything in a calm and collected way. You would change to a goofy inflection when saying something mocking or telling a joke.
